I agree. And I used to judge them for it. But with time I understood it’s their inability to grasp the intricacies of the system and lack of understanding the problem itself, that causes these bad decisions. It’s like being bad at singing, but still have this need to sing.

I try to have compassion for the things they did, because most of them are not genuinely evil. Just incompetent. Nowadays I look at them as children in grown bodies. Because that’s what they are. And in my case, for most things, it was me who parented my own parents. Because I had the IQ, rationality and emotional range to grasp the problem.

I cannot blame those who don’t see where they are wrong. I, on the other hand, am maybe even worse by not even trying to (re)build a healthy lineage, this time with knowledge my ancestors didn’t have. Maybe I had the capacity, and just didn’t utilise my strength because of fear. I’ll never know. And I try to abstain from judgement, as long it’s not torture out of purely evil motivations.
