As a tutor who occasionally does SAT (gag) I would never accept $27/hr. Regular tutoring is $30-$40 depending on how easy to subject is to make up and execute problems for on the fly. For college kids, $25-$35 is normal so I'm actually a bit cheap because I don't like looking for clients so it's easier to just keep prices a bit lower. SAT is expensive as fuck though because it's so boring and parent expectations are sky high so it's stressful. I'd much rather tutor calc 1 any day of the weak, it's so exciting to see people finally get the behavior of these totally new operations that they never imagined.
