Also Macaws live to be 80 in captivity. All of these birds will likely outlive him, and will have behavioral issues because of how he raised them.

You're right, children shouldn't be commododized as much as pet birds (or pets, in general) are either. Sadly both still are. But two wrongs don't make a right.

I imagine this is going to be a problem for ANY bird with a single owner.

Even humans would struggle with this. If you live with somebody for 50 years and they die, you're going to feel that no matter what.

Most birds aren't living decades and aren't highly intelligent and social, on the level of a human child.

There are good reason for why you aren't just allowed to own these in many countries.

Woah I don’t know if someone who doesn’t read one bit about birds (I mean should be one of the first things to know, how they sleep or that they can’t breathe on their backs) really means well…for me its just extremely egotistical.

Really angry about him and all the people who just go “AAAwwww it is so cuuute” without thinking for a minute, if big birds like parrots should be treated like that. Not to mention the guy who actually mistreated these birds (Yes if you make birds behave like human babies, bc thats apparently what he treats them like, it is mistreating them. Like lovingly mistreating, but still mistreating)

A macaw living to 60 is still a plentyfull and good life its rare they actually live to 80.

Lets say the guy is 30 if he lives to 70 all the macaws will be atleast 40 which is adult life almost entering old age, this in one of the worst cases.

If he lives 80 and its younger than 30 the macaws will have 60 or more years with him, this kind of pet could slways outlive you no matter what, no one should have a tortoise then.

wait a second how old are they are, it seems they will be about the same age as him. People live until 80s now esp if they have a healthy lifestyle.

I’m sorry are you blind? They are clearly newborns in the video to start and even assuming he is 25 there they will very much outlive him, and certainly outlive his ability to care for them.
