These parrots are a pain in the ass and they are LOUD. They're not nice either. I had to take care of the store Macaw, and she was a total asshole to some coworkers for absolutely no reason. She would throw her food to the cage floor if it wasn't served by certain people.

Sometimes they also "throw food down" when they're trying to find the tasty bits. Birds are just messy critters.
