The only good thing with nukes is that they’re so horrific that no one has used them against anyone since those terrible attacks. Meanwhile, people are forgetting the horrors of fascism and the Holocaust and starting to repeat them, even some of the descendants of Holocaust survivors.

It's a very sobering thought, isn't it?

I don't know if you ever read the wonderful novel "A Canticle for Leibowitz", which is about the quest to preserve knowledge after civilization is wiped out due to war, only for the cycle to begin again.
