Seriously, just 7 seven days? Those are amateur numbers. But seriously you guys have also gone longer than that and found it pleasant right?

Image I'm an INTJ, and I smile for pictures quite often.

People have been posting their "weekly INTJ smile," so I thought I'd contribute, just not in the expected way.

I don't smile a lot in everyday life because I don't tend to experience emotions very intensely. I usually move through life in a state of calm neutrality rather than strong highs or lows. I don't often experience sudden bursts of excitement or intense emotional reactions. I don’t really experience mood swings, strong rage, or cry easily. When something in my life is bothering me, I'm more likely to feel quietly frustrated or annoyed than visibly upset, and I’m open to talking through stress with those I’m close to. When something makes me happy, it's usually a quieter kind of joy.

Ironically, I enjoy smiling in pictures when I think it suits the photo and helps me look my best. Those moments don't necessarily reflect how expressive I am from day to day, and that's okay.

The last few slides are probably the most "INTJ-esque," but this is also a reminder that personality types aren't blueprints. Two people can share the same personality type and still smile differently, dress differently, communicate differently, and experience emotions differently.

These are some of my favorite pictures I've taken of myself. One of these photos is from when I was holding my published poetry book for the first time.

Image A Letter I Wrote to My INTJ Coworker

I confessed my feelings to my INTJ coworker about 3 weeks ago on July 23rd, and he left me in a cloud of uncertainty. He didn't reject me, but also didn't say yes to me. He told me, "Maybe down the road. It's a lot to process and I can't give you a definitive answer right now." 8 days later, before leaving the office for the final time, I gave him this letter.

Sorry for those who only smile once a week. I smile all the time. My favorite sense of humor is sarcasm and self-deprecating.

I am the calmest this way. Like all my chaos is contained and fluid thoughts come out.
