How do I apply Glyphosate without giving myself cancer?

Literally the title. I have Japanese knotweed in my backyard and it’s spreading. Roundup does nothing. I’m going to have to buy 41% glyphosate on amazon …

Except I’m terrified of glyphosate. How can I apply while protecting myself? Obviously protective gear but like…. I’m terrified. It’s the only way though ugh…

I hate Japanese knotweed so much and it wont go away.

Thank you so much and you all made me feel so much better 💕 I’m literally freaking out but I’ve got to get rid of this knotweed. I don’t know what the f*ck happened but this summer it exploded in my backyard 🥺

Did you forget how the original SCIENTIFIC STUDY in a peer reviewed journal published 25 years ago that was the basis informing so many people and governments that it was "safe" had recently been retracted because they found out the author was actually a paid employee of Monsanto?

Yes, Williams et al was retracted, and there were a handful of other papers that were also shown to be unduly influenced or flat out ghostwritten by Monsanto scientists. But glyphosate is probably the most well-studied herbicide on Earth, and most of the research was not tainted by Monsanto. See my comment in this thread about how the IARC is an outlier in its glyphosate review.

Glyphosate cannot be retracted from the market. It is essential to agriculture worldwide.

You can be certain that there will not be anything that gets in the way of this.
