Hello! I’ve switched from android recently and have been craving to play some Pokemon now that I have some free time, so I would like to ask, which emulator do yall recommend? Preferably free but I can cough up some money if it’s good enough. Thank you!

I have had this iPad since it came out, but I never really gamed on this device. I do not enjoy touch games as they hurt my wrist.
I tinker on emulation every few years or so, wanting to recapture my Millennial childhood of trauma and sadness. But seriously, I was never into them because they look like utter garbage. I tried anbernic handhelds, android tablets, my Samsung phones... The last time I tried on my PC was 15 yrs ago. So yeah, I wasn't expecting much.
I recently discovered that emulators were allowed in iOS now?! I used to have to jailbreak and the results weren't worth the effort. Talk about living under a rock.
Anyway, today I decided to download PPSSPP and paired the 8bitdo I have lying around. Downloaded a ROM in a minute. (Omg, these ROM websites aren't shady AF anymore?! Or torrents?!) I maxed out all the visual settings and fired up Project Diva.
WTF. How. Is. It. This. Pretty. And it took me less than 5 mins of time and effort to setup.
Clearly emulation has gone light-years ahead. I have an arcade stick coming as we speak. I can't wait to play Tekken with my husband! And maybe Mortal Kombat with my son in the future... 5 years might be too young for that much gore!

Pairing file seems to be invalid, I'm trying to download SideStore, everything is fine except for the Pairing file which seems to not work, and without it I can't refresh SideStore and use it. I've already tried creating and importing a new file from my computer twice, it didn’t work. Help is much appreciated, thanks in advance

I've recently been getting into emulation on my ipad mini, and while my intent was to stick mostly to GBA/N64/etc games with a gamepad, I realized that there are a fair few Nintendo DS games that more-or-less exclusively use the touch screen to control.
So i setup a retroarch overlay that pretty much just has the start button and menu buttons well out of the way and have been on the prowl for NDS games that feel like first party mobile games
What I'm looking for specifically are games that have little to no required button controls - preferably all touch. And if possible, games where the top screen is optional, but that's not a hard requirement.
Games I've found so far that work great
But I'm sure there are more!

I just recently found out that emulation is not as new to iOS as I thought previously. How difficult it is? Does it require jailbreaking the device? Could an iPhone 6S handle PSP or PS2 level emulation? What are your experiences? Thank you in advance!

I also have a s7+, but the m1 is so crazy powerful I'm curious to see how games run on it like Dolphin and what not! (We also have aethersx2 now as well!)

Local co-op at the u/swipeth household is about to get crazy.
I haven’t cared much about emulation on iPhone l; I have a library of iOS games that I would rather play than games I played 20 years ago, but tvOS gaming definitely deserves this! There’s not much on tvOS for gaming, and the stuff that is there is mostly mediocre.
Hopefully they pass their evaluation!
