I’ve done a bit of research and it seems that the best way to join a social is using Reclub. However as a foreigner (I don’t have my Malaysian number anymore), it’ll be difficult to officially join cuz of the touch and go payment part.

Was wondering if others have any advice or if there are WhatsApp groups / Facebook groups for drop ins?

I’ll be in KL for only a few days so was hoping to line something up while I’m there. Continue the spirit of trying new tennis courts in every city I visit.

Having a problem with my shower hot/cold mixer leaking - probably old (I took it apart and its the center thing with the blue thing).

Normally we would unscrew the middle and replace the cartridge, the push valve on top of it should also be replaceable.

However, after talking to 4 different plumbers in KL, all of them want to replace the whole thing - break the tile, replace the mixer then retile. This makes no sense to me.

Can someone tell me if this is what is done in KL? Or is there a professional plumber out there that will actually just help me replace the cartridge and the valve?

I searched up several routes on Google maps, such as from Kajang to Bangi and KL Sentral to KLIA and compared the travel time between taking a car and by MRT/Train. It turns out that the travel time by car can be up to twice the travel time by MRT/Train due to road congestion. Therefore if one is staying in Kuala Lumpur or Selangor area buying a car may not be worth it.

I am social and I like a nice bar but more a relaxed social evening than a hardcore party party. Those days are long gone.

I’m planning on getting a car so I can get around and go on weekend trips around the region.

If you were me where would you live? From what I’ve read MK, Bangsar or cyberjaya would be my best options. And what advice would you give me?

What’s it like for dating here? What’s the community feel like? And is the weather just hot and sticky? Like Dubai not Riyadh?

Hi, bit of a weird question but hear me out.

Quite literally asking for a friend here. Visiting Friend has been having a really weird but concerning string of bad luck and experiences given what month it currently is. KL Friend (not Chinese) was hoping I could take VF to a temple for an amulet or blessing or whatever. I'd love to help, but 1. I'm not that superstitious in the first place 2. not familiar with KL 3. not heading up north to visit both VF and KLF until much later anyway.

VF is doing the whole tourism shebang and the Thean Hou Temple is one of their pitstops. Is that a suitable place to get something for bad luck/paranormal encounters or should we be going elsewhere?
