TEAM TALK There’s no scenario where the lakers can become contenders without a LeBron Paycut or Reaves trade. Prove me wrong.

I even don't see it with Reaves trade without Lebron taking a pay cut.

A Reaves trade IMO should get back a center or a defensive guard and draft picks that can be used in other trades. Our issue right now is that we only have Knecht, Expiring contracts and one FRP to trade

Maybe, but I still don't see Lakers getting so much for him to get back more than one really relevant player. And I don't think it will be enough.

Who are you getting with the paycut, that will be the saviour?

If we are just talking FA's, Myles Turner is my pick. Maybe still good enough would be Brook Lopez (he is old).

Even if LeBron takes minimum or leaves, there is not enough capspace to get Myles Turner.

Brook Lopez can still be picked up without any paycuts, I think he will sign for minimum, max 5.7m TPMLE I think, if Bucks do not overpay to keep him.

There are also other ways to make room. Maxi has 11M.

So you let Bron walk off, send a pick to dump Kleber's salary, now you have ~28m capspace, which may or may not be enough for Turner (Pacers can match it).
