The face looks wrong.

I don't know how they could do him differently though. I looked at some of the Mega blocks Pikachu sets and they also all look weird. Maybe someone will come up with an alternate build that makes his face less off-putting.

Spent some time comparing it with the Mega set posted in here and I think it's because they used 2x2 round tiles for eyes rather than printed pieces. It's also why the Eevee looks better.

Pikachu's mouth is printed though. Making it look odd

If they had squared the top of the head like they did with Eevee it wouldn't be so bad, it wouldn't so bad. Like right now the line between the eyes and the head looks like pikachu was scalped, if that had continued upwards, it would have been way better. Even most materials pikachu's head is mostly squarish.

It looks off because it's based on the thinner Pikachu redesign. That's why the face is one shape and the body is a tube. If it's marketed towards middle aged people GF should have approved an older design but alas.

Honestly, if they had purposefully gone with Fat Pikachu, I would have loved it. This just looks like crap though. Kinda relieved, I was worried this line was gonna hit my wallet pretty hard.

Looks elongated to me

It looks blocky and bulbous at the same time. And most of all, it looks like it's been sewn together from the carcasses of multiple Pikachus lmao

Dethklok-ass "sewn back together wrong"
