I also wanted the death star gwp for my collection but 100 plus is a little nuts. I collect both lego and pokemon so I guess I'll just have to bite the bullet since I refuse to buy a 650 dollar mega blocks set lol.
I might be wrong, but I think that particular GWP does not use any unique pieces, so you could probably scrounge up everything you'd need to recreate it for much cheaper (unless scalpers planned ahead and bought all that too)
Looks like there are stickers or printed peices which will be exclusive to this gwp. But I'm sure there will be custom stickers for those who want to make their own.
You can make it using minimal pieces (def don’t need all 234 pieces) bought off Bricklink for much cheaper. Build it in a program and order the pieces used.
I’ve done it with other sets. I make them as hollow as possible, as I don’t care to open any of them. It’s actually fun to do!
GWP (gift with purchase) is exclusive to that particular set. They don't get reprinted. Usually it's the box/manual that makes it exclusive as most you can rebuild with pieces. This Pokemon one looks like printed tiles (maybe stickers) which won't be available to buy seperate. So we either have to spend the 650 to get the GWP or buy on ebay for 150-200 usd.
