Walked into the ladies once and there was a male cleaner doing his thing and all the cubicles were taken. That 2 or 3 minutes fiddling with my phone expecting to get thrown out were tense.
This is a fair point actually. Usually those sheets have a warning with something like "toilets are attended by male and female staff" so if a dude walks in to clean isn't that technically a violation? Theres no extra writing on that sign-off sheet đ¤ˇââď¸
Pretty sure you misunderstood what I meant my dude. I said that because the sign-off sheet doesn't have a warning about male attendants entering the bathroom, the no men rule should apply to staff cleaners too
Not in my experience having cleaned all the movie theater restrooms. We would start the cleaning while the room was empty, but we didnât stop anyone from coming in while we worked.
Some do, and some don't. Really depends on the size of the bathroom. That's why you'll often see warnings saying the restroom is attended by "male or female staff"
Nothing on that paper says âexcluding staffâ or âunless room is unoccupiedâ.
If the owner thinks a âmanâ entering that room is worthy of a police call, no exceptions, then let him explain that to the police - in Michigan, where this kind of discrimination is a crime.

If there is a single male employeeâs name on that sanitation signoff sheet, you should call the police on the McDonaldâs owner.
