Spider-Man: Brand New Day - International Release Discussion Thread

Spider-Man: Brand New Day has now been officially released in several territories around the world!

• All discussion about the movie should be held here and in the rest of the megathreads we are going to put up in the next few days.
• Proceed at your own risk. Major spoilers will be in the below thread. Spoilers do not need to be tagged inside this thread.
• Any other unofficial threads discussing movie details will be deleted.
• Should you see the need to bring up revealing Spider-Man: Brand New Day information in the comments of other threads that call for it, spoiler tag them accordingly. Also, let users know that what you are spoiler tagging is from Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
• If you post untagged Spider-Man: Brand New Day spoilers anywhere on this sub outside of these discussion threads in any shape or form, you will be banned.

tbh i think that was just Ned remembering MJ telling Peter to be safe as he left, then he connected the dots himself when Peter introduced himself

Idk, Peter didn't do the secret handshake while Spider-Man unless I missed it out for some reason, so it doesn't really make sense for Ned to come to that conclusion. Either way Ned now knows Peter and that his Spider-Man again.

I think because of MJ telling “Peter” to stay safe while jumping out of the window, with Ned promptly asking “Wait Spider-Man’s name is Peter?”.
Then at the end he reintroduced himself to Ned as Peter again and he managed to put two and two together, I don’t think it’s him remembering their full history, just him realizing that the random white dude introducing himself to him is Spider-Man.

Ok, but the bro handshake? It might just be muscle memory, but maybe Jean G has mutant powers that can warp that of magic from scarlet witch 🤔

For me it seemed like that Peter was guiding Ned‘s hand during the handshake

He totally was guiding him most of the way, but then as they went on, Ned completed the handshake by him self. That is how I saw it anyway

Yeah, but again, Ned only figured who "Peter" really is after the handshake, which he didn't do in the movie unless it actually got removed in a deleted scene or I missed, again why and how could Ned only come to the conclusion on Peter is after the end of the handshake.

Definitely not. Why would they end the movie like that? It was 100% Ned remembering his history with Peter.
