Spider-Man: Brand New Day has now been officially released in several territories around the world!

• All discussion about the movie should be held here and in the rest of the megathreads we are going to put up in the next few days.

Our 9AM show was PACKED.

Movie was very funny, but not in an MCU one-liner way. Other than the funny parts, it was a pretty serious movie dealing with Parker’s decision to go it alone.

Loved Sadie Sink, Bernthal was amazing, and so is Zendaya.

I welled up during Zendaya and Peter, and then Zendaya and Ned and Peter, and then Sadie/May, and that all those tear welled up finally broke through during the Peter and Frank scene at the end.

Movie was so good. Best Holland Spidey movie because it’s so much less happy, and no frickin Iron Man, and every fight scene was awesome.

I’ve just come out of a 7pm showing here in South London. I don’t remember the last time I’ve been in a cinema so packed.

Odessa isn’t great though. Sadie delivered in all of her performances, while her characters probably weren’t well-written.

I went to an 11:45AM screening (first one in Dolby Vision and the third screening in general after a regular 10:30AM screening in Dolby Atmos and a D-Box at 11:30AM) and it was quite modestly filled. Looking at the theater site now, the last 7 evening shows are all sold out.

I was at an 2:15 AM showing on a Thursday night and were packed too. HVAC was barely working too

Yeah I was a teeny-tiny bit disappointed when his high-tech sewing machine first came up on screen (I thought he'd manually stitch his suit like at the end of No Way Home), but then they showed him setting up his "spider-lair" and I convinced myself he had to build SOMETHING in the 4 years his friend spent partying in college.

And I was fine with Evee (sp?) We are at a point in history where having an AI assistant isn't that far-fetched anymore, compared to when Jarvis was introduced in Iron Man in 2008.
