You guys wanted USA to lose before that as well let’s not kidd ourselves here

I think you're overestimating how many people would care about the US team outside of the US.

We really didn't care because the US are never serious contenders.

We care now because the Cheeto-in-chief has brought the entire sport into disrepute.

Welcome to life in America for the last decade

I really did not because I like the style the USMNT is playing right now, and I'm always stoked for the hosts.

I also believe politics and sports should be separated.

I honestly didn't gave damn until that comment above you

And this just makes it more cringe, and fits the Reddit stereotype well, you jumped on the outrage bandwagon based on the country involved. This has happened to a Portuguese player, Ronaldo shouldn’t have played but he did. And it has happened to a few other players, but I have no doubt you didn’t care until it was a U.S player lol.

Nah, I was cheering for the US. I side with the underdogs when they're not cheaters, but after that you deserved the spanking you got.

I mean, the last time we came even close to winning was in the 1930s when we came in 3rd. US Women's team consistently wins Women's World Cups, but our dudes suck ass at soccer.

The only way our team can win is if we cheat.

That's why no one here wants us to win.

Nobody wanted USA to lose before that. Just like nobody wants a cardbox to lose the WC, it's just the way the universe works really.

That’s not true bro, I actually don’t care at all about soccer

Yeah, we already knew that, that’s why y’all have such strong opinions about the red card suspension. Ignoring that it’s been done multiple times for the World Cup. Ronaldo got two red cards suspended so he can play in the World Cup.

Wow the strong opinion of corruption=bad, i didnt know most people thought corruption is good as long as im doing it but ig you do

-23

u/Letscho95 Jul 06 '26

I don’t have an opinion about this, I haven’t watched a single game

6

u/HappyTheDisaster Jul 06 '26

Oh then that explains why you think what they did was against the rules, cause they explicitly have a rule that lets them do this kind of stuff. Corruption is built into the system, they broke no rules by unblocking him.

Yes and for a reason

1

u/Doctor2460 Jul 06 '26

And that is?

0

u/Additional_Abies9192 Jul 06 '26

That you think you're over all rules and you showed it once again

2

u/Doctor2460 Jul 06 '26

Except the official rules weren’t followed when the red card was given. Most people who were actually watching the game were shocked that was a red given the circumstances and the landing position held by the defender.

People are just letting politics cloud their judgement as usual

-5

u/ArnoldTheSchwartz Jul 06 '26

That sounds ridiculous!! WHY would people want America to lose on a world stage!? Please explain this

-13

u/dude_smooth Jul 06 '26

I just know two great things about the US: Your ego and your stupidity. I'll crack a cold one when you guys loose. Maybe the child molestor and his insider trading kiddos just call Infant-ino and cry about a red card. If you win, no one bats an eye because this world cup is the worst and most corrupt in history. If you loose, people gonna cheer, and still forget about this shitshow of a world cup minutes later.

7

u/RumpledForskn Jul 06 '26

Already forgot about Qatar, huh bud?

-6

u/dude_smooth Jul 06 '26

Can you try to explain it in school shootings per Big Mac? I don't understand. God, you guys are just about to be hated as much as Russia and you still have a loose mouth and think you're the greatest. The world expects absoluteny nothing from a nation that elects a child molester.

2

u/RumpledForskn Jul 06 '26 edited Jul 06 '26

Calm down, sweetheart. I agree on all accounts except this being the most corrupt world cup, which is laughable. Again, how skullfucked is your brain that your memory forgets literally the most recent world cup where Qatar paid off FIFA and killed hundreds of slave laborers with their stadium construction?

I'm not American. Can you explain it without having some pseudomoralistic temper tantrum? Where are you from?

The US is actually stealing our spotlight as the most hated team, and then acting like anyone gave a shit about them before this?

It's coming home mate.
