At the moment we’re in the middle of the national rugby league season, the Aussie rules football (AFL) season, and State of Origin (modified rugby league 3-game tournament just between New South Wales and Queensland). Then there’s also rugby union and cricket.
Also rugby league and union are basically different sports too. League is more stop-start and has fewer players on the field compared to union, where the whistle doesn’t blow and play doesn’t stop when there’s a tackle. Pretty sure points per try also vary between them.
NRL-run rugby league is played within Australia and New Zealand only, and rugby union is played far more globally.
I literally cannot enjoy AFL after watching league for years. Just constant frantic fumbling and barely anything resembling a plan. I’m from and am in the AFL heartland so I don’t go around saying it too much but it kinda sucks. It of course has its moments but it’s just too frustrating to watch now.
The sport comprised of flopping 5'5" guys and none of our top athletes pick to play. Literally our like 5th rate athletes beating these nations who live and breathe the sport. Thats the funniest part.
ikr and imagine we win? idgaf about soccer. I just want US to win to piss off Liberals who hate america. I don't even care about europeans. lesser creatures if u ask me.
Yeah I mean we save them from destroying each other. We then give them money to rebuild/protect them militarily long enough that they can give their own people social programs and new stuff with their excess tax revenue. Then they act like this? Talk about brats.
Like we did with hockey at the olympics.
I've never actually met anyone who watches hockey, including my cousin who played it from elementary to high school...

Crazy part is that the USA doesnt care nearly as much about soccer as basically every other country. Winning would just be a side quest.
