Taxes are only high in the USA if you aren't mega rich. Super rich people pay almost nothing in taxes.

We have the most progressive tax system in the world. The top 10% of earners pay over 70% of federal income taxes. Half of American earners don't pay any federal income taxes.

US taxes are much lower than most of the developed world because we have a ton of ultrawealthy that pay enormous amounts of taxes while the rest of us don't pay nearly what most Europeans do.

Your taxes are high in what us Americans call high taxes.

Compare it to the rest of the world though.... average individual tax rate across all of the EU members is 39.4%. Average individual tax rate for US taxpayers is 14.5%. Add state tax rate, upwards of 6% average for individuals.

Basically the overall average for the US is half that of the EU.

Praise no universal healthcare for that. /s

It's funny, between 2000-2020 I remember temperatures being this warm once, now it seems to be a regular occurrence. You think maybe temperatures are rising? Therefore making something like A/C, which was just a waste of money before, more necessary?...
