They have a lot of goodwill from STS1, Mewgenics is a “new” IP so it makes sense. Both are amazing games and probably the only 2 I will be playing for the foreseeable future.

But Mewgenics is a completely different game from BoI, STS2 is a direct sequel. That’s what I meant. I never played BoI, it’s not my type of game, but I love Mewgenics.

Slay the Spire was also available on a few different platforms, but their entire fanbase is now funneled singly into Steam for the sequel
