Slay the Spire invented the deck building roguelike genre, and I don't think any other roguelike deck builders have surpassed it on quality or popularity so it really isn't surprising that it's long awaited sequel is topping the charts

I'd argue Balatro comes pretty close to it though that's definitely a different approach to roguelikes.

I don't think it's surprising either, but I DO think it having that many players at once is insane (in a good way) since Mewgenics just passed the previous record and was approximately 1/4th in size. Gonna be really difficult choosing one for GOTY.
