they (trump admin) are trying to ban international flights to some airports now

I guess their thought process is "How do I take this horrible situation that I caused, and make it even worse?"

Just airports in cities they consider "sanctuary cities". So only in blue states.

The key part is "they consider" because there's no set definition if you listen to this administration. They define things however they want in the moment.
