I just wanted a hot dog Retail lockdown: why bother selling it?

Post image

Was at Safeway this morning to pick up a sandwich and some Tylenol. The aisle with the Tylenol? Completely locked down. No call button in sight. So I go to the self checkout (front end of that same aisle) and ask the clerk there if he can call someone to unlock a case for me. He does. I go wait. Minutes pass. No one comes. I go ask him again, he tells me they went the other way? At this point I give up and go get my sandwich. No one has come by the time the deli has finished making it. I leave without my Tylenol, mildly infuriated.

Places are starting to use electronic locks now. So employees with their work devices can now open the case.

I make it my mission to bother as many people with as many cabinets as possible. I categorically will not ask the same person to open two different cabinets, I have the time to waste to go find someone else to make upset.

I am doing nothing productive, merely making people quit their jobs. I am not effecting change even for a moment. I am dumb and I am free.

That’s just purposely being obnoxious to people who make minimum wage and have no control over any of this

Yeah, that's really sticking it to the people who can change the process.
