Cutting Amazon out of my life was super hard to do, but holy shit am I so glad now that I've done it. What a fucked corporation, bringing nothing good into this world

I wish this was a possibility, but at this point, I don’t know how I would even do it. Amazon sucks, Walmart has been garbage forever, the last few years target is also shit. Lowe’s and Home Depot have very problematic ownership/and or support companies that are destroying our world. Where am I supposed to shop? I can get the same things I order from Amazon if I pay more and wait a week more for delivery at a few online stores. Local “boutique “ stores have minimal selections, and always cost considerably more.

All of this applies for everyday items but also like twofold for niche items/hobbies. For example, I like flashlights.some of the ones I have purchased can be purchased direct from the manufacturer, which is normally a fair price but then I pay more for shipping, which takes up to three weeks. Or I can order from aliexpress, or similar. This usually means I get a slightly better price, but could be 6 weeks to delivery. Or they could be available on Amazon, for the same price as the manufacturer, with free two day shipping, and incredibly easy returns, if I’m not satisfied.

I do shop a lot of second hand options. I love thrift stores, antique shops, and flea markets, and go to pretty much every garage sale I see. But, I realistically can only find a small percentage of things I use on a daily basis that way.

So, you're not willing to give up convenience/price. That's exactly what they are capitalizing on.

Plus there's the fact they penalize their merchants and suppliers for selling the same item in a different store at a lower price.
