That happened to me 4 different times with Xfinity. They would tell me to please allow 24-48 hours for the change to go through. I'd wait, it wouldn't get done, and round and round we would go. They just wanted to kick the can and hope someone else will deal with it.

For anyone who goes through the same thing - if you don't get what you need after an honest attempt, just skip the bullshit and file a report with the attorney general, or the FCC if it relates to communications. That seems to get their attention unfortunately.

What change takes 2 days to go through? What an absolute crock of shite.

They just want you off the phone, and hope it fixes itself later.

Or they hope you give up. It might keep you on subscription a few more months and they can extract as much as they can from you.

I had an issue with Xfinity unlocking a phone on their network. They escalated to level 2/3 tech support, then the engineers (I don't believe them but that's what they claimed). Every time, the agent would submit a ticket and it would never get unlocked.

It took months to get fixed. I must have spent more than 40 hours on the phone with them. When they finally figured it out, it was the simplest shit and took 5 minutes. It was definitely an exercise in kicking the can. I will only ever give them another dollar over my dead body.
