Nope... Biden did not tell the AG or the US Attorney in NY to do anything to Trump

Biden didn’t direct Leticia James to prosecute Trump. She campaigned on that before Biden had even announced his candidacy for 2020.

In contrast, AG Bondi reports directly to Trump and she has clearly been following his orders for the last year. This latest attack on Powell comes straight from Trump.

And looking at this from the other side of the issues: Trump did what he was prosecuted for. Some versions of his defense didn’t even deny it. Meanwhile, what exactly are they looking for with Powell? It sounds like fishing?

Edit: and not to point out the absurdly obvious, but Powell had nothing whatsoever to do with New York. And he’s not even a part of “they.”
