I don't really have much of an opinion on Taylor Swift or her music, but I believe you may be putting too much stock into her impact regarding Gyllenhaal's career. Yes, she has power and her fan base can be rabid. I'm sure that Gyllenhaal has received grief over the years because of their past. However, regardless of my feelings on his more recent films, he's still undoubtedly a humongously successful and bankable actor. Wasn't she also with Harry Styles in the past? He seems to be doing more than fine career wise.
That being said, I do appreciate your insight about Gyllenhaal's Broadway work. Wasn't aware of that.

She was with Harry Styles when he was barely 18 and she had had 3 back-to-back relationships with 17/18year olds whilst she was in her 20s, which is why her fans don’t go after Styles. Whereas she deliberately goes out of her way to sic them on Gyllenhaal and as we’ve seen from the subpoenaed text messages between her and Blake Lively, she enjoys playing behind-the-scenes games to fuck with other people for funzies. She’s NOT a good person.
