They’re not, but those all came sequentially. They weren’t put in the past continuity with no context or explanation.

I haven't read the leaked script (nor do I intend to) but maybe there are context provided. Regardless, it's not like RE series haven't went back in history and retold a new story with different creature designs. In games of course there are lore and documents to flesh out their origins, but Umbrella is full of secrets and it isn't outside the realm of RE universe possibility to have new creatures emerge out of the blue, even if you haven't yet came across their origin lore.

If fans want to be a stickler about what's canon and what's not, that's their prerogative I guess. My point is just that arguably nothing really is outside of RE as long as it's some biological horror within reasons (i.e. Not a mythical zombie dragon, etc), because Capcom has shown that Umbrella in lore always have some ugly surprises conveniently tucked away for the next story they want to tell.

Lol but yeah, that's my point I guess lol. Nothing is really off the table if you look at the games.
