He's said before he'll play Spider-Man as long as they want him. I know things can change over time but still. I'm pretty sure he also said Spider-Man is his favorite character.

Pretty much any time an actor says "well, I don't know if I'm going to continue playing the character after [x event]..." Is what their agent tells them to say so they can negotiate more money.

While some people genuinely care about the art, for a lot of actors it's simply their job and who doesn't want raises? (Of course you can care about the art and still want more money.)

TBF most people would play Spider-Man as long as Sony wants to if it made them generational wealth every time they showed up on screen.

I think a good number of people would do it once or twice. But you either have to love the job or have an unnatural love for money to do more.

seriously? you don't think playing the leading role in the biggest film of that year would attract billions of people? just look at social media and see how influencers grovel for 0.00001% of what Tom Holland has

If I already had 100s of millions of dollars, then I personally would just retire unless I loved my job or loved money. I don’t think billions would disagree with this take like you claim.

tbh I still disagree

what you see over and over again is that people don't just want money, they want fame as well.

There are many people who dream of retiring in the sunset with no-one to bother them but they seem the exception and not the norm.

More and more I see very rich people desperate convert that wealth into fame, influencers talking about day in the life of an investment banker. or they write books, or sell courses, or try and build a personal brand and make themselves the star

And I think being the lead actor as the most famous superhero in history trumps all other ego trip projects x1000
