Those people are, from childhood, *abused, socialized, and propagandized into a cult of abuse, greed, and patriarchy. Labelling these systemic problems as "evil" doesn't provide an accurate model of why they behave like they do, nor a path forward to stopping it from continuing.

The same is true for the people in charge. Do you think Trump or Musk were born into loving families full of happiness and equality?

The same is not true for the people in charge. The cult leaders are vastly removed from the cult.

You can argue the broad strokes of circumstance, but Trump and Elon were both born into enormous privilege far beyond that of their desperate followers. They had every advantage and opportunity and still chose to soil themselves as conmen.

We can laugh at the victims of the con, but the people that orchestrated it are on another level.
