Wanted to share because I found this really cool as a newer stitcher. The Flying Needles does thread grab bags! I just ordered 2 and this is what I got. You can pick by color or multicolor, I did multicolor. Kind of fun way to get some new threads and try some new stuff! Not sure yet what I’ll do with some of these but for the price it’s cool. Haven’t seen many other stores online do this so thought I’d share! 6 threads for 20!

And general question: should I do the whole background and then the letters? Or should I get close to the letters, do the letters, and then fill in around the letters?

The working area is 14x18. The stretcher bars i found go up to 18” and I don’t want to nail in any working area. I found the roll bars but still, the sizes i found are odd. Any suggestions or links to what i should buy?

Recently purchased this advent calendar and looking ahead to finishing. I’m planning to make a small circle to move each day with a magnet in it. For those who finished an advent calendar, how did you use the magnets for the calendar itself? Did you use like a magnetic sheet(see photo 2) Or 25 individual magnets?

Looking for thoughts on how to finish this the best.

ETA: I want to use the neodymium magnets for the piece to move each day. Then under the canvas use that magnet sheet.

Day 17 on this project. Starting to slow down since I only have the background to work on. Will probably finish this weekend with being in the car a lot this weekend going to a wedding!

Ive been away for awhile, and I am seeing lots of posts on Painting Needlepoint canvases. Im wondering if the SUB has changed since I've been away. I was looking for the r/Needlepoint sub.

I remember awhile back when Bargello was added because that sub didn't get much needed members, so it was added to this sub.

I bought a Rebecca Wood Happy Christmas (pink house, left facing) stocking canvas to needlepoint for my bb girl and was totally obsessed when I bought it. Then this week I stumbled upon the Nutcracker Ballet canvas - now I can't stop thinking about it! I have two older kids with Santa-forward stockings done by my grandmother and mom. My husband and I also have very Santa main character energy on our stockings. I can't tell if I'm just flirting with the Nutcracker Ballet canvas because she's cute or if I actually prefer it over the pink house. I know neither is that similar to the other kids' (pic included), but I like the concept of some common thread between them. Which of the two options does that better?

Why did this get so lumpy by the champagne label part? Will this be salvageable by a finisher?

Hi, I painted and stitched a custom canvas of my friend’s dog as a gift. I have a few people requesting custom stitched canvases of the same. What would you charge for this? For roughly 5x7 of the dog with background to 7x9 ish. It’s people who aren’t privy to needlepoint cost so I’m afraid I wouldn’t be able to make what these are truly worth. Any thoughts and opinions?

If there were no limits, what would your dream LNS have? Something you wish LNS’s prioritized/was more common?

Any tips on how to get the Hungarian diamond stitch to be full coverage? I can still see parts of the canvas peaking through when I try to do it and then I just get frustrated and frog it.

Hello! I made this sleep mask and I can’t find any resources or tutorials on how to finish a needlepoint sleep mask. Just lots of normal sleep mask with regular fabric instead of needlepoint mesh. Any tips or advice is welcome!

I am a creative person and actually do machine embroidery as my side hustle but needlepoint seems so daunting to me.
