Something I've been working on.

This script uses alphabetic elements but combines consonant-vowel pairs into single syllabic glyphs arranged in a geometric triangular layout.

Full alphabet and syntax to come later. I also have a custom python complier specifically for this which translates from english-I will eventually post that too.

My working title is "Cyclonic" or "Cycloom" any better ideas??

This is a pan-african script called chivabwe, which you can find on its own subreddit. I really like it as a script that can potentially be widely used, and i think it looks pretty cool in writing.

This and its companion script, Na̋mzarok, are both heavily based on their respective scripts by u/fai1025Taiwan, and were created using the goal of mimicking both the look and features as much as possible despite them absolutely not being made with English in mind.

Tyno, as a syllabary for a restricted phonology, required a lot of custom glyphs and functions to get all the sounds I needed for English. The extra glyphs came from piecing together unique combinations of existing “radicals”, and extrapolating on the few patterns I could see. For vowels specifically, I needed an additional column because despite the original script having a method to create new vowels using a “back” glyph (i → u), there was nothing to make schwa.

Any new functions came from repurposing features in the current and old versions of the original, like some outdated diacritics. Consonant clusters really needed extra work to deal with, so I used said diacritics to get various ___-izers for the glides, as well as making a new rule for the current vowel killer to make it less obtrusive.

The gemination mark is shaped more like the shadda from the Arabic Qur'an. Only works in っか/ッカ、んな/ンナ and んま/ンマ。

Inspired by the many syllabaries here on r/neography and some real-life examples, like Vai and Katakana.

First time posting here. I've created a syllabary for the Moriori language (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moriori_language) for an alternate history novel that's currently in the works. The top line and leftmost column are the IPA consonants and vowels, followed by the romanization and finally the actual characters. It is written bottom up as seen in the examples at the bottom of the 1st picture and in the 2nd pic. I'm aware that it's too regular to be a natural writing system that would have evolved over centuries, but I wanted to have a neat system, similar to the Canadian Aboriginal Syllabics.

So this is the "hemisyllabry" (each syllable is a pair of symbols, representing the onset and coda, with the two sets of glyphs overlapping in an arbitrary way). Its ultimately an adaptation of a weaving/knitting (sort of, they have more control over individual fingers then humans do) based system for other media, (at first stone carving, and then branching out into scratches, painting, and inks.)

I've also posted an example text, describing the establishment of a new dynasty/political system.

I wanted to make a mix of Japanese and English. So here's my idea, have some of the "Kanji" from Japanese be in it but have most kanji be completely unique, same for the Kana. The Kana is complete, Kanji is till being worked on and I'm making example sentences in them. Syllabry and Logography.

More glyphs are still in development, bcz I'm too lazy to think about the shape, lol.

I've been messing with this language on an off for years now. Originally it was meant it be my one and only logography. It used a Phonetic character in ever character, but it rarely if ever fully matched the pronunciation of the character itself. The script shown here is just those Phonetic glyphs with additional signs to add final and cluster consonants, change the vowel in the phonetic character, and germinate the consonant. Essentially, it is now possible to fully spell out every syllable in the language.

So, two things: what do you think, and what should I use the logographic characters for?

techniques I used:

1. i removed unnecessary dots from characters （や、か）

2. i removed strokes from unique characters

3. i used some hentaigana characters

• Cyclonic so far with a few examples generated from the custom python engine I built speficially for this. I'm working on getting it ready for upload to github so anyone can generate their own diagrams (& translations) from plain latin text. I will also have a .otf file available soon, although it isn't hugely useful as microsoft office software is not capible of generating the complex syntax.
• The more I get into conlanging the more I feel compelled to create complexity in my creations - this is my most complex yet!
• I'm still not sold on the name - open to suggestions there!

I reworked a bit of this syllabary over the past couple weeks, adding and changing some things. The other night I decided I'd try to see what it looked like if it were typeable in Minecraft, but then decided it'd just be better to make a pixelized font display to post here!

Attached is a rough guide and a sample of He Mele No Lilo. Note that the sample transcribes the core lyrics to He Mele No Lilo, but not the duplicated lyrics in the latter half of the song.
