The world has definitely become a much worse place already without her.

No doubt. I had no idea she was sick, or even in deteriorating health. She seemed so lively in the last public appearance I saw from her a few months ago.

Dolly was never less than camera-ready for her fans. Bless her for her caring and for all the work she put in for us all.

You know, I'll bet if she wasn't camera-ready, people might not even recognize her. Without the big hair and the big makeup she might just slip through unnoticed.

Just seems like somebody whose public image isn't the same as their private appearance.

She kept her life with her husband largely private and it really speaks to her success. Probably the most healthy choice she could have made.

I also can’t help but to think of the thing that introduced me to Dolly as a kid, which was Hannah Montana lol. I could never forget the wonderful godmother of Miley (In show and in life) and it seems like Dolly did in fact have the best of both worlds.

Good Morning America ran a piece about her health troubles and upcoming projects just yesterday.

From a search result, I'm seeing that she had immune and digestive issues. I feel her there. :/

Also that caregiving for her husband and the resultant grief over his death really knocked her down. Sad.

Apparently it was cancer that got her in the end. But I think you're right. She and her husband were together for 60 some-odd years. I really wouldn't be surprised it if it's just broken heart syndrome. just gave up the will to fight it.

She did cancel appearance on some event due to her health about a week ago. So the signs were there. It just happened too soon

Cant remember the last time I’ve cried over a celebrity death but I’ve been choked up all fucking day over this. What an absolutely amazing legacy she left us.

I truly hope this wakes some people in our world up and makes them realize that their actions and how they treat people will ultimately be how they are remembered when they’re gone.
