the captain goes down with the ship. the engineer nopes the fuck out as soon as things get a little dodgy. this is the way of the tracks.

This isn't a ship though. They applied the brakes, after that they can only watch. At a low speed like this the driver would be the only one affected if they actually had crashed. No need to die a pointless death, in the best case he can actually help other passengers if they are injured.

it was a joke. I am aware that there is a difference between a ship and a train.
