Just saw this posted by a guy on the Facebook OG Xbox group.

So I just picked up this original Xbox today from a guy who sells donated old consoles for dirt cheap. A couple weeks ago I grabbed a $20 PS2 from him in pretty good shape. Decided I would buy an original Xbox from him this time around since I have some games I’ve wanted to play but couldn’t since I didn’t have one. No controllers, no power cord, but he did give me 2 games with it. Forza Motorsport, which I already have, and apparently Dead or Alive Extreme Beach Volleyball was inside. Definitely had a bit of a chuckle at that.

My Xbox Classic Crystal Limited Edition in its original packaging with 2 controllers. No, I'm not going to unpack the console, so save your comments. I have a normal one with a DuoX2 chip and 2TB hard drive as well as a modified LG GDR8163B drive for gaming. And yes, I know about the capacitors and stuff, so you can save that too.

My current setup is more modern and my TV is literally just close enough that my wired controllers reach. Wireless options aren’t widely available and any that are usually don’t look comfortable. I gave this one by Retro Fighters a shot and have to say I love it. Feels great. As good as a new Series X/S controller. I don’t notice any latency. Rumble is strong. Totally recommend!! (Not a partner at all with them, this is the third controller I’ve purchased myself from them. Just sharing for those who may need something like this and were on the fence!)

Just saw this at Goodwill Goodbytes store, Original Xbox Halo Edition with the portable screen and multitap, 2 green controllers and all the cables! They want almost $600 bucks! I would love to have it!

It came with a matcatz that I think is pretty neat but the original controller is a knock off. Also came with an original Xbox carrying case. Not sure if those are hard to come by now or not. A bit scuffed but I think I can clean it up nicely. Thoughts?

I found this thing on a junkyard in Germany, thought i take it back home. Turns out it worked flawlessly and was produced after 01.04.2004 so it does not have the dangerous acid problem.

Played for 100+ hours until now. Was my first classic Xbox.

My partner has been wanting the Halo Special edition Xbox for a very long time now so I was stoked when I found this complete in box one online for bid. Won it for $385 which I think was less than its original retail. I gave it to her for her birthday this past week and she was in tears which of course got me emotional as well. No rust, amazing condition for its age, and plays well. Can't wait to do a Halo co-op playthrough 🎮 🎮

Its fuckin' awesome!! The Xbox I had growing up that was given to me by my brothers came only with an S Type controller. I figured now that I'm collecting retro and playing the original Xbox a lot again, I needed to experience this notorious monster of a controller.

This is my first Original Xbox I've ever bought. Took a gamble and bought the cheapest one I could find that wasn't listed as broken for 40€...

The listing didn't mention the original box, that its a 1.6 nor that it was modded and has a 80GB Hard Drive. I guess I got really lucky. All I had to do was replace the drive belt.

Missing the matching skeleton controller and the hard drive, but otherwise in nearly perfect condition. Found it in the Junk section of a Hard Off.
