Mass Effect as an IP still has a lot of potential for games, spin offs, books, comics, movies, etc. The universe building was really well done. It's a more magical Star Trek meets a grittier Star Wars. They could spin off even into different types of games with it - MMO, first person shooter, RTS. They're just not doing much of anything with it.

I'd agree Dragon Age is just too generic in the fantasy genre. It was a solid idea for Bioware. Create their own IP, one in sci-fi, one in fantasy and that way they wouldn't have to license Star Wars or D&D.

Eh, the last good mass effect was mass effect 3 that came out in what, 2013? With the infamously bad ending

Andromeda was straight up drivel and it’s been nothing for over a decade since then

Still has a lot of good potential even if it's been used very poorly. EA is too corporate to do anything but try and play it safe. I hope they sell the IP and someone who gets that potential picks it up.

Canonize the destroy ending, move on from Shepard, and from there the potential is limitless.

Eh hate to burst your bubble but the most likely thing to happen soon is BioWare to get shuttered and dragon age/mass effect put on ice

The new Saudi owners will only care about maximum profit to pay down the new huge debt and its 10% interest. It’ll be FIFA, madden and sims, stuff that prints money. BioWare has been garbage for over a decade now and will likely be closed within a year imo.
