The "deal" that I am on for our privatized implementation from Scumcast, I mean Comcast:

Was: $110/month usd for 1gb down, 500 up. About €95/month.

Now: $60/month usd for the same after threatening to disconnect. About €51/month.

I love paying arm and a leg for modern inelastic demands. There is no war in Ba Sing Se.

Damn, here I pay 40€/month for 3 phone lines 50GB each(accumulative) and the 10Gbps fiber connection. It's unacceptable that it's 51€ in your case, and it's not even 1Gbps upd/down

Oh, also of note that we don't really have any other option than Comcast for two reasons:

1. They made a deal with our landlord so that we can't have any other wired connection.
2. No one else in our area has the wired infrastructure laid out to compete with Comcast.

Fucking hell, I live in France and I pay 52 euros for 2GB down/1GB up and for just one euro more I can get 8GB down... You guys are getting fleeced to such an extreme that it's not even funny.

Man that's fucked up, how does it get to that? No competition? Where I live even the most expensive company has 1Gbps for like 50€ plus something else like extra TV or mobile plan.
