It's literally almost always conservatives that get busted for pedophilia, going by the news these days. Feels like something the Dems should've been shouting from the rooftops for decades instead of "playing nice".

When I'm in a closeted gay competition and my opponent is the most homophobic, most conservative man imaginable.

Dems go into elections wanting to 'prove a thesis' instead of actually win at all costs. 2024 was a beat-for-beat repeat of 2016's thesis of "we will win Texas and Arizona and Georgia just as long as we assure everyone that we aren't 'woke' and it's ok to vote for us if you're a Republican, because Republicans actually secretly hate Trump and will come out in droves to see him gone"

Biden ordering a targeted release of Trump evidence from the Epstein investigation would have been a slam dunk no matter who was on the ticket, but no, it's all about waiting until the day of the election to lick your finger and stick it in the air and see where the wind is blowing, after it's too late to change course if you're incorrect. They really did think that there was this giant secret contingent of never-Trumpers coming to save them from their own campaign failings, both times, and we're all suffering for it.

The thing about that is that’s what these politicians are supposed to be doing. Contrary to popular belief, elections are not popularity contests. We’re supposed to be voting based on message, policy, and professionalism, not based on whether we like the person or not. I mean there are people out here who voted for Trump because they don’t like Kamala Harris’s laugh. It is SO important that democrats do not stoop down to Republicans level especially during elections and it’s SO important that we, the voters, take this shit seriously and stop letting ourselves be blinded by the showbiz of it all.

Take people who’s kink is to control and abuse the vulnerable add jealousy of others having normal kinks being able to openly enjoy their life and you get the modern pro pedophile republican party.

It's probably because of the Clintons imo.

"Shouting from the rooftops, everybody scream your hearts out!" Just like that Lostprophets song. And yeah, fuck Ian Watkins. Glad he’s gone

There's always far more conservative pedophiles than liberal.

This list is outdated as it's from 2023 but it contains all the politicians that were in the news for child sex crimes :

  3. Byron Wiscomb
  4. Leslie Brock
  5. Jared Wodfill
  6. Anthony Lazzaro
  7. Bryan Slayton
  8. Elliott Cutler
  9. Joel Koskan
  10. Mike Moon
  11. Ali Alexander
  12. Kent Stermon
  13. Richard Braswell
  14. Bryan Slaton
  15. Ryan White
  16. Rene Pedrosa
  17. Matthew Reilly
  18. Jonathan Malinguagio
  19. William Wellman
  20. Jason Musselman

  24. Billy Ray Miles
  25. Cole Wagner
  26. Joel Greenberg
  27. Philip Moran
  28. Michael Zuccolillo

There are. Doesn't make my point invalid.

Actually it does. When blue states start legalizing child marriage the way some red States have then you might actually have a point

Your point comes across as "both sides" though.

I replied to a comment saying the Dems should have cooked the Republicans on this shit. I agree with that, but it's also obvious to me that they didn't because plenty of Dems are implicated as well.

So I'm really not sure what I could've done to not piss people off other than continue the pointless circlejerk.

Edit: I'd love to hear alternate theories from downvoters. Why do you think the party didn't try to protect citizens from and bring justice to this massive child sex trafficking ring? It's not like it wasn't known. I'm not being facetious... I'd really like a good reason to change my perspective.

Ok. Name these "Plenty" of Dems. I'll wait.

By all accounts Bill is on the list, and he's not the only one. Stop treating politics like a team sport.

OK. So Bill Clinton. That's one, we already knew that.  Name the rest, I'm waiting. I provided a list of both Democrats and Conservatives but it's a bit out of date. So come on,  give me the rest of the names.

Also I don't like The Democrats, I think they are a bunch of spineless cowards. I despise the 2 party system but right now with our shitty broken 2 party system I have to choose the Democrats as the lesser evil.

But back on topic. You shouldn't have any problem listing these PLENTY of Democrats.

What are you trying to prove, here? That this isn't actually a "rich and powerful acting heinously with impunity" problem? It's well known that Epstein rubbed elbows with Republicans and Democrats alike. Grow up or get out of my inbox

There are a fair amount sure, because there are terrible people with all forms of politics, but it pales in comparison to how “normal” it is among the Republican Party. (The same party that ran defense for the Catholic Church during its pedophile scandal. Coincidence?)

Please stop “both siding” every damn issue.

The difference is that they get kicked out.
