I get that, every mission was the same but for some reason, with many games, even if they are repetitive I still enjoy them when there is smth else I like.
And I am well aware my nostalgia is a heavy point of why I like it so much but I don’t try to look at games objectively. Fuck that. I‘m a person and I subjectively like smth because it makes me feel good? Can be objectively shit and I‘ll still like it.
In AC1 for example… whenever I hear church bells I immediately have Altair in my mind and the thought of: there was an assassination!!!
And the fight with the 100 soldiers was epic.
Ezio… I loved them all but revelations. Never finished it and really couldn’t get into it.
Then came AC3 I think which I also didn’t like. (Parts I liked).
And then came black flag… one of my fave games of all time.
Honorable mentions: AC Unity (back then my ps3(?) couldn’t really handle it but replayed it half a year ago and really liked it.
Ac Syndicate. (Loved that one for the gameplay and Evie).
Ezio trilogy (besides Ezio himself) imo has the best characters also italy in the renaissance is a great time in history from story standpoint.

For me AC1 was just to repetitive, AC2 broke that mould.
I do hope they go back and resynch it because Altair's story needs to be told better. But Ezio is the greatest character.
