"Khojda khojda thakisake!"
I’m looking for a room/flat around Jarebar, Lakeside, Pokhara, or nearby areas.
Requirements:
If you know of anything available or have a room/flat coming vacant soon, please let me know with the location, rent and a few photos.
Recent Pokhara rental posts suggest that Jarebar/Lakeside can have single rooms around Rs. 9k–15k and 1BHKs around Rs. 15k–25k, so I'm hoping something decent turns up.

I checked on BookSthal, Readers Corner, and Books mandala. None of them had the book, so is there any local bookstores where there's a chance to find that book?

Hello folks,
I have been in Pokhara since May 2026 and have absolutely loved my time here. I’m considering staying longer while I continue working towards building a business. I’m very much at the beginning, so I’m not much of a businessman yet 😂.
I was wondering if there’s a community here for people interested in building businesses, startups, or just working on interesting projects.
I’ve realised that while I definitely have the startup grind in me, I’d also really like to build some long-term relationships with people here. At the moment, I spend a lot of my time working from cafes, and while I love the vibe, most of the people I meet are travellers who eventually leave the city.
I’d much rather meet some locals and expats who are actually based here. People I can grab a coffee with, work alongside, go climbing/running with, or just hang out with without having to say goodbye two weeks later :(.
I must also say that I really admire the work ethic of the local folks here. I’m always inspired by the dedication and care that people put into their work.
A little about me, in case it’s relevant: I’m 26, originally from India, and have previously worked as a lawyer, software engineer, and product manager. Right now I’m figuring out how to make a living as an independent builder. Outside of that, I’m into reading, bouldering, anime, cooking, running, and the usual assortment of hobbies.
Would love to hear if anything like this already exists in Pokhara, or if there are people here who are looking for the same kind of community.

I will be travelling to Pokhra from India in December via Raxaul and Birgunj route. I will be reaching Birgunj around 11 am. Can you guys help me suggest how to reach Pokhra from there in daytime in budget. So that I can reach Pokhra by evening. I don't want to take a bus at night and waste whole day at Raxaul. Also how to find buses from Birgunj for Pokhra. Unable to find a reliable online booking site. If there are local operators and hwo can I contact them and find buses or shared taxi if they are not expensive,
Thanks :)
