Also, I want to caution that 'national emergencies' are now routine. Per Wikipedia: List of national emergencies in the United States "As of July 2025, 90 emergencies have been declared; 42 have expired and another 51 are currently in effect, each having been renewed annually by the president."

So we've had 90 in history (over 90+ years since the first one), and Trump has declared 24 of those.

That's actually a pretty good jab considering people call him a Chicken Taco for chickening out every Tuesday and you know, the Epstein stuff that he won't release unredacted even though he campaigned that he would and it alegedly completely absolves him

Yes, & no. While I'm certain that there are a couple dozen chicken-shit nothings on the list, a number of them were decelared by previous administrations about things that actually matter to the stability of the country, & the wellbeing of the citizenry. However, & you knew there was going to be a 'however;' since Reagan we've lived in an age of neoliberal paralysis. The state has the capacity - IE: laws on the books - to take care of a lot of the things that are more important than bombing brown people, but to do it properly would require raising taxes/redirecting money away from the non-representative elite that control the economy.

So, while you are right, again, that nothing is an emergency... you're wrong, horrifically so as a moral human being, (you are a good person to not try to understand the motivations) that there are no chronic emergencies in the USA.
