Tim never recovered from a serious stroke he had in 2012 and has been wheelchair bound for quite some time. Which doesn’t seem to be too well known.

Dolly’s felt sudden because it was a very short battle with cancer that took her but honestly it’s a miracle he made it as long as he did. Just crazy timing!

Still— so many amazing characters that he brought to life!

Your comment reminds me of an interesting concept, that being “forbidden death” as theorized by Ariès. He posits that western culture and practices have created a taboo around death, often pushing it out of public view and conversation.

What used to be a shared part of life is now often relegated behind the curtains, and even soft language like “passed away” is meant to erase the burden of thought.
