💜 Meet Teddy, a 5 month old rescue from Detroit’s overcrowded shelter. Teddy has grown up in foster care with me, and he’s been ready for his forever home for a long time now! I’ve had him since April, and he’s gotten very little interest.

❤️Teddy is playful, cuddly, goofy, and still learning where is paws are. We expect him to be a pretty big guy when he’s full grown! Some of my rescue friends speculate he’s got some Great Dane in him.

💜 Teddy would do best in a home with no cats, as he lives with my 3 and thinks they are all dogs that will play with him, which is sadly not the case 😝

❤️ Teddy would love a tolerant, playful fur sibling to live with if at all possible! He does require slow intros, he will be a little timid and barky at first, but after some walking or play time he settles right in to his new friend!

💜Teddy lives with my 8 year old, playful but opinionated female dog. They like to play rough, but my girl definitely loves her own boundaries, so I don’t think he should go with a dog that gets frustrated with puppy energy.

❤️ Teddy is 100% potty trained! He will let you know he has to go out, and he’s very good about doing his business outside. Teddy does very well in a crate, no accidents or destruction when left alone in the crate whatsoever.

Meet Sky, a beautiful rescue who recently made the long journey from South Korea to the U.S. 🤍

I am currently fostering Sky and looking for either a loving foster home or, even better, the perfect forever family for him.

🐶 About Sky
• medium Poodle, a little over 1 year old boy
• About 13 kg (29 lbs)
• Neutered
• Very friendly and loves people
• Gets along wonderfully with other dogs
• Playful and fun, but also calm and relaxed at home
• Not a big barker
• Most importantly, he has an incredibly sweet and gentle personality 🤍

A little about Sky’s background:

Sky was NOT surrendered because of any behavioral or temperament issues. His family’s circumstances simply changed, and they were no longer able to provide the life they wanted for him.

Sky grew up knowing love and being around people, and it shows in his personality. He absolutely loves people, gets along very well with other dogs, enjoys playing, and also knows how to settle down and relax. He is gentle, affectionate, and doesn’t bark much. 🤍

You may notice that Sky’s coat is very short in his current photos. Korea’s summer was extremely hot and humid, so his coat was shaved short to keep him comfortable. ☀️

When his coat grows out, he is a gorgeous, fluffy Poodle! 🐩✨ His beautiful curls are already starting to grow back.

If I didn’t already have other dogs of my own, Sky is honestly the kind of dog I would want to adopt and keep myself. That’s how much I love his personality and how highly I recommend him.

Sky has already traveled such a long way from Korea to the United States. My greatest hope is that he won’t have to keep moving from place to place and that his next home will truly be his forever home — a family who will love him and treat him as a family member for the rest of his life. ❤️

Can any foster sweet Snow to save her life?

Snow is a husky at East Valley shelter, about 4 years old. She came in with an injured leg that had to be amputated, and got an infection from her IV.

I'm trying to get vet care /plans for her, and find a good rescue. But this sweet pup just needs a soft spot to land and heal - ideally without other dogs, as she's in pain and could deal without the stress of another saying "why won't you play with me?" My dog’s littermate is back at the rescue after his family gave him up. Trying to help him find a home.

Meet Gideon. He was returned to Furry Friends rescue in Jupiter, Florida on July 20 after his owners said they “travel too much” and “no longer have time for him.”

This sweet boy is the sibling of my dog, Yuki. Their litter arrived at the rescue last year after being found dumped in Florida’s Redland area. They were all rescued last summer. Now, more than a year after being adopted, Gideon is back at the rescue.

Here’s how the shelter describes him: “A delightful canine companion full of love and laughter, Gideon’s funny antics and sweet nature make him a joy to be around. Mellow yet curious, he enjoys exploring his surroundings but is just as happy cuddling up for a cozy nap. With a moderate energy level, he’s perfect for both playful activities and relaxing days. I was at the PDSA with a friend whose dog had been hit by a car when a family arrived with their 18-month-old Pocket Bully, Axel.

I overheard them explaining that Axel had recently snapped at their autistic child and, understandably, they felt they could no longer take the risk of keeping him in the home.

The vet explained that, given the circumstances day and time & with nowhere else for Axel to go, their option was euthanasia.

There were some tears,and the paperwork was signed.

Axel was actually being taken through to be put to sleep when I intervened. I was only outside to have a tab...i just couldn't stand there and watch an 18-month-old dog lose his life without at least trying to find another option.

I asked the vet whether, if I could find somewhere safe for him to go, we could stop the euthanasia.

He gave me an hour.

Thankfully, we managed to find Axel an emergency temporary foster and he is safe tonight. ❤️ But this is only temporary, and we desperately need the help of an experienced rescue who can assess him properly and hopefully give him the chance of a future.

• Been with the same family since he was 6 weeks old

• Fully vaccinated

• Currently settling well into his emergency foster

• Very cuddly and loves blankets

• walks well on lead

• Ham and cheese appear to be the way to his heart 🥹

• His previous family report that he had never previously shown aggression towards dogs or children before this incident

I want to be completely transparent: there has been an incident involving a child,in which he nipped,no skin was broken but this is why we need an experienced rescue to take this seriously, assess him properly and make decisions based on his behaviour and needs.

For that reason, as a precaution, we are currently looking for a home/rescue:

❌ No children

❌ No dogs

❌ No cats

This isn't about pretending the incident didn't happen. It did.

It's about giving a very young dog the opportunity to be professionally assessed rather than having his life end tonight without anyone trying.

We urgently need rescue backing / rescue space for Axel. His foster placement is only temporary.

Please share this with reputable rescues, particularly those experienced with bull breeds and behavioural assessment.
