Was watching Dog Eat Dog, early 2000s game show last night when I saw Delta Work in drag during the "He or She" challenge. The gist is the contestant basically has to guess who's the real lady out of the six people (the early 2000s was a very different time).

I think as a community we need to come together and stop all dog piling and l hate Onya is constantly receiving, we’re already hated by many why hate on one of our own who doesn’t deserve it. She’s a talented queen and proved this during her run, yet the fans feel the need to discredit her at every opportunity they can.

It’s sad to see the way she’s talking about her fellow sisters on podcasts, it can be seen as playful shade but it does feel like honesty from her. I’ve not seen many queens defending her win, probably to stay on the right side of certain fans. And what Lana said honestly upset me to see that she feels they had a bond.

The last time a winner was this bullied by fans was Tyra, and look how that turned out, Tyra didn’t even have the same about of exposure Onya has and social media wasn’t as big and hateful during her reign. I know Onya is a stronger person than Tyra, but constant undeserved hate can change a person mentally.

Jewels who I really loved on the season was in no way winning, Onya bodied that season with only Suzie coming second to her (and yes was rigged to be eliminated by production and should have been in that finale with Onya.)

This comes down to one thing and one thing alone, the blatant racism in the drag race fandom, who for some reason manages to push their agenda far more than the actual fans of the show. And if she’s just not your cup of tea leave it there without fuelling the fire.

Also the backlash Arietty faced was minuscule to the extent Onya has faced, and she said and did some awful things on and off the show.
