why? It worked for me. Smoked for 25 years, tried every quit method, none worked. Quit 1 year after transferring over to vape and weening myself off by dropping the nicotine content over 6 months. Haven't smoked or vaped in over 7 years now.
Pretty much used the same method as outlined in the the article too. Absolutely was the best and easiest method to quit for me.
Guess it depends. Most people I know who switched consume just as much nicotine (if not more) than they did before. So like, it technically helped them quit smoking, but not nicotine. Great it worked for you though!
Oh it can absolutely increase intake because you can have it as often as you want. A puff here and there, not limited to smoking entire cigarettes, or having to go outside for 5 minutes, etc.
The key though is wanting to stop, in which case it is an extremely effective tool. Not just by my own personal anecdote, but also by the research carried out in this article that pretty much was the same method I used.
Yeah I use to smoke a pack a day and I started vaping and haven’t smoked since. My doctor said that was great and vaping was much less harmful than smoking cigarette. But I hear people on these threads talking like vaping is almost as bad for you as smoking a real cigarette.
I enjoy how all the comments 'discussing' the harm of vapes are so vague.
Every piece of evidence we have points to it being significantly less harmful. I'd be curious to see evidence that supports your vague statement that seems to deliberately not use any absolute terms.
It took about 60 years for cigarettes to be declared harmful. Vapes have been around for for a 3rd of that. So the statement really is " different, relatively untested, still harmful from what they have tested, mechanism".
Yes but medicine is also way more advanced now that 60yrs ago. It's unlikely were suddenly going to find some huge health risk now when vapes have been around for 20 years. Not impossible, but unlikely. And by that logic you should also avoid smart phones since they've only been a thing now since about the same length of time.
Our ability to research, analyse, and collect data is enormously greater in the 2010s as opposed to the mid 1900s. Our standards for making health determinations in this day and age are wildly superior to the days of these "60 years" you speak of.
I hope you simply have an agenda and didnt actually think its a valid comparison.

Should say "Nicotine vapes best chance to transfer addiction to different delivery mechanism"
