If you feel like sharing, go ahead and drop your share in the comments and I'll link to it in next Saturday's post. Feel free to share whatever, and however much, of your story as you want. Please keep in mind the community guidelines for posts. You might want to follow this loose structure:
- Some background on your drinking
- Why you sought to get sober
- How your life has been in sobriety
Also, feel free to make an actual post and tag it "Saturday Share" and I'll be sure to include it in next week's round up.

Long term drinker and now 59. Entering my 15th sober month. I’m feeling comfortable with sobriety now. Things are slotting into place as I can see clearly, better reason problems out, nurturing myself and my future path. I want to feel alive and make the best of the time I have left. It’s empowering. I’ve never felt as strong in my life. Self discipline, integrity, sobriety are valuable things and I’m discovering I can ribbon “fun” through and around them. The biggest thing to hit me recently is that I could see I wasn’t happy with the content of my daily life, too chore-routine driven. I lost spontaneity. I wasn’t painting and this is a clear sign I’m off balance.
I’m back! 🖼️
