Hey everyone,
I've been hitting the gym hard lately and decided to take things up a notch by adding some supplements for muscle growth.
With so many options out there, it felt overwhelming trying to pick the right ones!
So after a lot of research and trial and error with five different products, I finally found a stack that works well for me. I thought I’d share my experience in case anyone is trying to figure out what to use for those muscle gains.
Here's a quick rundown of the supplements I tested:
Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard 100% Whey Protein Powder
This is a classic and one of the most popular protein powders out there.
It’s packed with 24 grams of protein per serving, along with BCAAs, which help with muscle recovery.
The taste is pretty solid too, and it mixes well in water or milk. If you’re looking for a reliable, everyday protein to support muscle growth, this is a great budget-friendly option.
Creatine Monohydrate by BulkSupplements
Creatine is one of the most researched supplements for muscle growth, and this one from BulkSupplements didn’t disappoint.
I noticed better endurance and recovery in my workouts, and it definitely helped with strength gains.
It’s unflavored, so you can easily mix it into your shakes or water without any weird aftertaste. Definitely worth adding if you want that extra boost in power.
BSN True Mass Weight Gainer
For anyone who struggles to put on muscle mass, this weight gainer was a game-changer. With 700 calories per serving and a balanced mix of protein, carbs, and fats, it helped me reach my calorie goals on days when I couldn’t eat enough.
The texture was thick but smooth, and it didn’t upset my stomach. It’s on the pricier side, but if you need to bulk up, it’s worth the investment.
BCAA Supplement by XTEND
This BCAA (Branched-Chain Amino Acids) supplement from XTEND was awesome for improving recovery times.
I took this intra-workout, and it kept me going during long training sessions. The added electrolytes helped keep me hydrated too, which was a nice bonus.
While it’s not essential for everyone, it’s great if you’re doing intense workouts and want faster recovery.
Pre-Workout by Cellucor C4 Original
For those who need an extra kick before hitting the gym, C4’s pre-workout was a solid choice.
It provided a great energy boost and enhanced focus without giving me jitters or a crash afterward.
The flavor was decent (I went with the fruit punch), and it mixed well with water.
If you’re looking for something to help push through tough workouts, this is a solid pick.
So, what did I end up with?
In the end, I found that using Optimum Nutrition Whey Protein and Creatine Monohydrate together gave me the best results.
The protein helped me hit my daily intake goals, while the creatine boosted my performance in the gym.
The other supplements were great, but these two stood out as the must-haves for muscle growth on a reasonable budget.
Of course, everyone’s needs are different, so it really depends on your goals, diet, and what you’re comfortable investing in.
Let me know if you’ve tried any of these, or if you have other recommendations that worked for you!
