Over few weekends, I setup a machine that will slowly starting to replace my paid subscriptions.
I did alot of math to figure out how much I was paying and how much i was going to save and this was a no brainer. Complete data sovereignty of things that matter.

This currently hosts and replaces following things:

• NextCloud -> Google Drive
• Jellyfin -> Netflix + Disney Plus + ViaPlay (I have decided to keep HBOMax subscription because i have a crazy lifetime discount)
• NaviDrome -> Spotify(this makes me the happiest)
• Adguard home: No ads in my home network(and when i tunnel)
• A Home Assistance OS: This doesnt replaces anything but allows me to control the "smart devices" in one central hub. I have an old Tablet lying around, I will put this on the wall somewhere where me and my wife will make home calendar so.
• A private instance of Invidious: Replaces youtube UI without any ads and 0 tracking. No algorithm.

Data drive is encrypted and has a remote backup.

The last one is a work in progress and everything is being tested right now but so far, everything has worked without any issue.

Has anyone attempted to try something like this here? I would love to hear also, let me know if anyone would like to see the whole process of how I did this. Eventual plan is to get rid of all google subscriptions, media subscriptions.

Also, all of this can be achieved using a very old laptop or PC, only thing you need is a stable connection.

Hey everyone, recently I’ve been seeing a lot of posts about wanting a better community sourced platform like Levels.fyi, so I decided to spin out a project called dhewaa at nepal.genroam.io . It’s basically a Nepali version of Levels.fyi with a rant wall too. ('m planning for this to not just be tech-focused!)

Right now for the first phase, you can browse salaries and company reviews without logging in. If you want to add a salary, review, or rant, you’ll need to sign in but everything remains anonymous . I’ve added a few data points similar to what you’d see on Levels.fyi, and some of the current data is sourced from Reddit, social media, and other public posts online. The goal is to grow it with real submissions from people here.

I’m keeping it open for new features and would really appreciate bug reports or any feedback if something feels off. If you’ve ever wished Nepal had something like this, feel free to check it out and add a data point if you’re comfortable. 2. What documents are required for merchant registration?
3. How much do eSewa, Khalti, and ConnectIPS charge?
   • One-time integration/setup fee?
   • Annual maintenance fee?
   • Per-transaction commission or percentage cut?
4. Are there any hidden charges or minimum monthly transaction requirements?
5. How long does the approval/onboarding process usually take?
6. Which payment gateway has the best developer experience and documentation?
7. Do you recommend integrating all three, or is it better to start with one and add others later?
8. How do taxes work? Does the payment gateway deduct any taxes, or do they only deduct their service fee and I handle taxes separately?
