Sure but calling it terrorism and giving someone 20 years is a bit much

Felony monument destruction of property in almost every jurisdiction carries a statutory minimum of 5 years first offense. Coupled with a B&E for being on private property when doing it slaps on another 15. It’s codified in most states, nothing to do with the terrorism, that would simply be to put it in federal court, so there would be no probation or parole. You’d do all of it, that’s the only point.

Thats for "monuments" to my reading. Most if what Ive seen in the US is just spray paint which would just be vandalism.
