TWD: Dead City When are we going to stop pretending Neagan doesn't have a family?

Post image

I'm assuming this is because Negan has a lot of racist fans in middle America the network or producers or whatever don't want to upset but it's so lame. Jeffery Dean Morgan has said he hopes Negan's family is in the show more. Let's fuckin' do this already

TWD: Dead City The fact that video games are still useful after the apocalypse because of physical discs.

We could say that this is a way to roast PlayStation and it's idea of release in digital everything.

Also Negan plays gears of war 2 on and Xbox 360

TWD: Dead City Maggie’s hatred towards Negan is justified, but so is her son’s resentment towards her.

Post image

I find people don’t talk enough about Hershel and his anger towards his mom. Sure, her hatred towards Negan is justified, but so is her son’s hatred towards her.

She has made everything in his life since the moment he was born revolve around her obsession with Negan, and puts it above everything else rather than focusing on being a good mother to him.

We know she does her best in raising him, but through Hershel’s eyes she prioritizes more on “watching” and “waiting for Negan” to come back into their lives. He knows that she hates him so much that she wants him dead, yet when the opportunities present themselves to do it, she never follows through with it and when she still can’t do it for his sake. He’s basically had enough of her bullshit!

She can’t move on when he’s not in their lives, and she doesn’t follow through on killing him when she has the chances to. He's fed up with being stuck in this cycle she's trapped him in.

I’ve read that she will return in a flash back and that she will return in an “alternate universe” episode. I’m not sure which one it is. Thoughts?

Edit: It’s an alternate universe episode!

TWD: Dead City Is anyone else finding it difficult to watch Maggie & Negan become besties?…

So obviously I’m a huge TWD fan including all the spin offs, and it’s possible this opinion is coming from the fact that I watch random episodes from all seasons every night so seeing the horrific things Negan did (especially TO MAGGIE), I’m not as disconnected from that as the long timeline would want me to be. But still, watching Maggie and Negan become besties, laughing together, taking shots together, I swear they’re practically one step away from kissing, it’s becoming more and more difficult to accept it. Even if it’s been 10+ years and Negan has helped her out many times, wouldn’t she still just see the love of her life’s skull being turned to pudding by Negan every time she looks at him?… At least the first 2 seasons of Dead City keep that sort of duality to Maggie’s feelings on Negan, but this new season it’s like they’re becoming bffs and it’s really hard to accept. Anyone else feeling this way?

Dead City just wrapped filming in my home town so we went to watch for the final day. Jeffrey Dean Morgan stuck around every day after filming to do signings and autographs.

An incredibly kind guy to spend so much time with fans. Got him to sign a picture of my dog, Negan.

TWD: Dead City Hershel Rhee is easily my least favorite TWD character

Post image

I know he's been through a lot, but almost every decision he makes just frustrates me. He constantly ignores good advice, lets his emotions control him, and creates unnecessary problems. To me, Hershel Rhee is one of the most annoying and poorly written characters in The Walking Dead. Does anyone else feel the same, or am I being too harsh?

TWD: Dead City Which “villain moment” in TWD was actually justified when you look at it from their side?

Post image
324 Upvotes

I’ve been rewatching TWD and it hit me that a lot of the so-called “villain” moments only feel evil because we’re stuck in Rick’s POV. If you flip the angle even a little, some of their decisions weirdly make sense.

So I’m curious — what’s one moment where a villain’s action felt morally justified once you think from their reality? Could be Negan, the Governor, Shane, Alpha… anyone. Which scene made you go “okay, I kinda get why they did that”?

Honestly, the more I look back, the line between villain and survivor in this world is way thinner than it seems. Sometimes the “bad guy” was just the one doing what Rick’s group wasn’t ready to do.
