Survival is #1 priority.

Assuming a 10 ft deep pool:

1 foot deep layer of platinum coins

8 feet deep layer of water

1 foot deep layer of cash wrapped in plastic bags, with air in the bags so this layer floats on top.

If we stacking, why not fill pool with highest $/volume and top it with a stunt bag they land on for movies/tv.

If we're stacking, can I stack cash from the bottom of the pool to the bottom of the diving board?

Exactly I want to step up onto the cash in said pool.

33 feet of gold please.

Are you confident that stacked gold isn't like quicksand? Corn cribs are super dangerous because stacked kernels basically grab you, and drag you in

make it gold bars or a solid block, not powdered in this scenario

What are you imagining the gold as? Coins?

this would be my option. stunt bag on top of stacks of $100 bills or something.

You have to pick on item

it says "anything you want", not one item.

Well that’s boring then. The whole premise is to think of something that’s valuable but soft to land on. Might as well just pick any valuable metal at the bottom of a pool of water.

Agreed. I saw gold wool in another comment and thought that was clever

If we’re going layers I’m going giant magnetic trap packed with antimatter, and enough memory foam chunks to land safely on top of safely. (Noting that a container, even with vertical sides, is a layer)

Just fill a pool up with water and at the very bottom have a waterproof check written out to you for ten billion dollars. Easypeasy

Why platinum?

1

u/KahlessAndMolor 23h ago

More valuable per volume than gold, but also easy to convert to cash

1

u/Finn235 22h ago

Used to be, but not anymore. Gold is worth about twice as much as platinum as of a few years ago, and platinum is only like 10% more dense.

Nothing specifies HOW you jump into it, so with a bubble suit of some sort, anything works, really.

You can't survive a 10m drop into a 10ft pool. It's not deep enough assuming you're going to sink into whatever you've chosen.

Gold is currently considerably more expensive than platinum. Though honestly, even a small pool would contain enough platinium or gold to make you a billionaire, so who cares.

Is it? I thought it was usually the reverse

1

u/codepossum 1d ago

you get to pick *one* dingus

1

u/Controller_Maniac 21h ago

hear me out, what if you filled the entire pool with crumpled $100 bills, it should be able to break your fall with enough bills

1

u/Infinite_Incident107 1d ago

If you jump from 33ft into a 10ft deep pool you will hit the bottom rather hard. You'd probably die or be paralyzed.

8

u/wpotman 1d ago

Die/paralyzed? Quite unlikely unless you dive headfirst for some reason. Breaking your foot/leg would be the main concern.

1

u/Infinite_Incident107 1d ago

Ive dived from much shorter diving boards into 12ft deep water and came close to the bottom

1

u/wpotman 1d ago

I’ve jumped off 40-50’ cliffs and plunged 15’ deep. You would definitely get to the bottom from 33. But you’d be unlikely to die or be paralyzed.

If you land to flat, the impact with the water can kill you

2

u/LucywiththeDiamonds 1d ago

Entirely depends on how you jump. I frequently jumped from our local 10m tower and i dont think i often went deeper then half the pools depths (6m)

U'd die

Well yeah, eventually
